Adding Additional Pages

Once you have your Home page set up, you will want to add addtional pages to complete your resume website. Pages will be added to your website menu in the order that you create them (although you can re-order your pages later on if you change your mind), so refer to your notes on the pages that you are planning to have in your website.

Create New Page

Create a New Page

Click on the "Create New Page" icon on the toolbar in the left panel of the website editor screen (See the image to the left for the location of the "Create New Page" icon.

This will take you to the New Page wizard.

Adding a new page

1. Page Name: The page name is the link that will appear in your website menu, and also as the title of the page. Keep in mind that there is limited space on the menu bar to accommodate the menu items, so keep your pages names as brief as possible.

2. File Name: When you have entered your Page Name and move the cursor down to the File Name box, the file name will automatically be supplied. It will be comprised of the Page Name followed by the .html extension. You do not need to change this, it is for information only - you will need to know the file name of your page in order to return to it later to edit.

3 & 4. Page Keywords and Page Description: This is optional information to assist with search engine indexing. See Creating Your First Page for more information.

Click the Next button and your new page will be created and added to the navigation menu of your website.

You can then proceed to add content to your page in exactly the same manner as you did for the Home Page. Continue as above to add new pages, until you have completed the content of your website.
