Creating Your Site With the Site Builder
The first time you log in to your account, you will be shown the following message:
To set up your site, you need to fill in the form in the left frame, as shown below:

1. Web Site Name: Enter your full name here. This will appear as the title of your website on every page.
2. Layout Category: Before your web site can be built you need to choose a layout template for the design. To start, choose a category from the “Layout Category” dropdown box to see a list of templates in that category. Every time you choose a different category the list of template images will be updated in the “Layout Template” section.
3. Layout Template: Move the slider at the right to see all of the templates available in this category. If you do not see the template you want in the selected category, you can return to step #2 and select another category to browse the templates in that category. When you see the template that you want, click on it to select it.
TIP: You can click the Preview button to see a full size demo of the selected template.
Once you have entered your name and selected the template that you want, click the OK button to generate your website.
NOTE: You are not locked in to the template you choose. You can return at any time and change to a different template. |
When you click the OK button to create your site, you will see an alert box similar to the following:
Click the OK button on this box in to begin the process of copying the required template files to your website. This normally takes anywhere from 10 seconds to 2 minutes, depending on the speed of your connection. Do not close your browser window or navigate away from the page during this time. When the web site is built you will then be able to create your first page, which is what we will look at next. |
