Creating Your First Page
When you site has successfully been created in the previous step, the site builder will return with an input screen in the left frame, as shown below, in order for you to create your first (Home) page for your site.
 |
1. Page Name: The page name is the link that will appear in your website menu, and also as the title of the page. Normally the first page of a website is called "Home"
2. File Name: The file name for the Home page of your website must be "index.html" in order for the website to come up when someone types in your domain name. DO NOT CHANGE THIS.
3. Page Keywords: This is optional information. Keywords do not appear anywhere on your page, however, they can help your site to be found and indexed by search engines. If you want to promote your site through search engines, you can enter keywords that are related to your desired career and experience, and location. Enter your keywords separated by commas. e.g.: "information technology, project manager, California".
4. Page Description: Page description is also optional search engine related information, that will not appear on your page. If desired, enter a brief description, such as: "John Sample is an accomplished project manager working in the information technology field, looking for career opportunities in California."
