Adding the Content to Your Home Page

After you have entered the "background information" and clicked on "Next", after a few seconds the editor will load on the right hand side of the screen. The editing page does not look EXACTLY like your finished page will appear, as the "chunks" that make up the page are visible for editing purposes.

Adding Content to Your Home Page

1. Edit the Page Title:
You will see 2 blue lines around the areas that you can edit within the page (the rest of the page is "protected" to prevent any changes that might damage the layout of the site). The first editable region is the Page Title. The default value of the Page Name that you created in the previous step will be inserted here. You can leave it as is, or you can change it to something longer and more descriptive. e.g. instead of "Home" as the title of your Home page, you may want to change it to something like "Resume of John Sample" or "International Payments Specialist" etc.

Position your mouse cursor within the blue box, highlight the existing text and type over it with your new Page Title.

2. Insert Your Page Content:
Place your mouse cursor within the second blue box. Highlight and delete the starting text ("Type your page content here") and type or copy your desired Home page content within the blue box. NOTE: the box will get longer as you add more text to it. See Formatting Your Text With the Editor Toolbar for more information on using the toolbar at the top of the screen to add formatting to your text.

3. Save the Page:
Once you have added your Home page content, and are happy with the way it looks, click on the "Save" button in the left panel on the screen. This will save your work and publish your page to the Internet. You will see a message like the following appear when your page has been saved:

Your file has been saved

Click the "OK" button to continue.
